Tessa is a saddler in Sussex with over forty years’ experience working in the saddlery industry.

She has a comprehensive range of second hand saddles in stock, to suit all disciplines, including brands such as Albion, Ideal, Black Country, Kent & Masters, Monarch, Devoucoux, Childeric to name a few.

In addition Tessa also carries a large stock of replacement gullets for adjustable saddles and these are also changed on-site. In both cases Tessa would conduct a ridden assessment, ideally in a sand school, to check for any movement.

She would recommend having your saddle fit checked twice a year although young horses and those changing regime may need to be seen more frequently.

Tessa has a calm and quiet manner with horses, having owned her own horses since childhood and understands the requirements of both the competition and pleasure rider.

Tessa is available to visit customers in East and West Sussex, Surrey and West Kent to both supply saddles and to adjust the fit of customer’s own saddles. Re-flocking is undertaken on-site so that correct fit can be achieved unless a complete reflock is required, in which case the saddle will go back to the workshop and will be returned and re-fitted once it is done.

Sell Your Saddle

Tessa offers a service whereby she will take your saddle to sell on a commission basis, taking 20% of the sale price when sold. She has an excellent rate of turnover on these, particularly the popular brands.
